Annual Holiday Party & Toy Drive
We raise thousands of dollars each year to purchase toys and clothing where all of the proceeds go toward helping the developmentally disadvantaged children of Rockland Children's Psychiatric Services and Recovery Services. This year alone, we raised over $9,000. Our cumulative total raised is well over $120,000. Each year, we host the party at Dave & Busters and invite many of the children to enjoy a night of good food and fun arcade games. This year was our 18th Annual Party & Toy Drive.
Annual Scholarship presented at our Golf Outing
The Independent Insurance Agents of Rockland County awards an annual scholarship to a local high school graduating student. Over the past 8 years, we have presented $11,500 in scholarship funds to Rockland County students seeking higher education. This year we offered a scholarship in the amount of $2,500. The criteria is to write an essay on one of two topics:
How Insurance Has Affected My Life.
Drinking, Driving, Repercussions.
Sgt. Eddie Ryan Fund
We donated $1,000 to the Sgt Eddie Ryan Fund. Sgt. Ryan was severely wounded in Iraq. The proceeds go towards extensive rehabilitation.
Blood Drive
Sponsored a local blood drive with the NY Blood Center.
